Tae-Kwon-Do

Martial Arts

Welcome to Tae-Kwon-Do

Taekwondo, ‘The art of hand and foot’, is a traditional Korean military martial art which focuses on kicking, striking and blocking techniques.

We practice ITF-style Taekwondo and its traditional techniques including: sparring (semi-contact), patterns (set routines), self-defense and breaking. Each Session will cover a variety of these areas, as well including warm ups and exercises to maintain fitness.

Throughout the year we offer many opportunities to develop your skills and advance in the discipline. This includes regular gradings throughout the year to advance your belt level, and many opportunities to take part in competitions!

With a varied curriculum and expert teaching tailored to the individual's pace and needs, there’s something for everybody! You do not need prior experience nor any level of fitness to take part.

Come along to one of our classes! Beginners are always welcome at any time of the year. Grab a committee member or instructor when you arrive and we’ll get you settled in!
